The Good News is so astoundingly good that every time I think I have a fairly good idea of what Christ has done for us, God reveals the next wave of wowness! I realize that’s not a word in the dictionary, but I use it to underscore how fresh revelation from God is above and beyond and altogether better than what we thought we knew.   This past week, I uncovered a gold nugget that God left for me to find—one that blew my mind away and sent my spirit into summersaults of ecstatic joy.   In 2 Corinthians 5:18-19, Paul brags on God and shares something profound that has happened to us in Christ:  “All this is from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their sins against them, and has entrusted to us the message of reconciliation.”  (MEV)   That’s four times Paul uses the word reconciliation in one long sentence....

When we come together with food and our stories of God's goodness....oh it's such a beautiful thing!  This last Saturday night was sweet sweet sweet with a very family-like atmosphere. I want to thank you all for bringing great snacks and for your willingness to share testimonies.  One thing that is interesting, and even fun, is to see is how the sharing becomes contagious. By this I'm referring to momentum that takes place when one person steps out. Just hearing the story of the person with the microphone stirs up the hearts in the room. It seems to pry loose, (if you will), what has been waiting to be shared by others. The testimonies, then, keep comin' and encouragement, excitement, life and even bravery fills the air around us.  Thus we have Revelation 19:10: "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Very recently a young man was sharing with me how afraid he was by some current circumstances. It was clear that he was feeling overcome by them and...
