THANKS FOR SHARING - by Todd Benjamin Lout

When we come together with food and our stories of God's goodness....oh it's such a beautiful thing!  This last Saturday night was sweet sweet sweet with a very family-like atmosphere. I want to thank you all for bringing great snacks and for your willingness to share testimonies.

One thing that is interesting, and even fun, is to see is how the sharing becomes contagious. By this I'm referring to momentum that takes place when one person steps out. Just hearing the story of the person with the microphone stirs up the hearts in the room. It seems to pry loose, (if you will), what has been waiting to be shared by others. The testimonies, then, keep comin' and encouragement, excitement, life and even bravery fills the air around us.  Thus we have Revelation 19:10: "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Very recently a young man was sharing with me how afraid he was by some current circumstances. It was clear that he was feeling overcome by them and it was difficult for him to any anything else. Holy Spirit reminded me of some things He's done in this young man's life up to this point. I vocalized those things to this guy and I also shared similar breakthroughs that God had orchestrated in my journey so far. By the time we finished our chat, this guy was laughing and told me that he felt so very different than when we first started talking. Cobwebs were cleared away for him and he could move forward, and he did. This was recounting the goodness of God.

Let me encourage you in this; Many things God does in your life are between you and Him, for sure. They are kept in the beautiful, secret garden of your life. Likewise, there are many reflections of God's goodness, power and HIs help, that will greatly  "spur on" those around you. Be bold to declare God's greatness in your life and see it clear away negative atmospheres and fear. You have that ability with Jesus' testimony in your mouth.

Love, Todd
