ALL GOD'S PROMISES HAVE BEEN FULFILLED - by Brent Lokker

-Brent Lokker -

Jesus didn’t come to the earth and die on the cross to undo what humanity had gotten wrong. He came to inaugurate what the Trinity had covenanted to do for us before the world even began in order to make all things right.

God’s covenant promises to include us in Christ and to care for and nurture us into wholeness wasn’t in reaction to correct something that happened, but rather it was fully his decision based on his unchanging nature of merciful love—a decision to open our eyes to his beauty and to our beauty created in his image, a decision we weren’t there to vote on.

Let me show you from the Scriptures:

“God has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of
his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.”

(2 Timothy 1:9 NIV)

 And

“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ
to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”

(Ephesians 1:4 NLT)

Then to blow just about every circuit in your brain that would try to have it all figured out:

“Christ has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages
to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.”

(Hebrews 9:26 NIV)

What?! He has appeared (as in, it already happened) at the culmination of the ages (as in, after the last age).

So, the Trinity, who lives in a realm that’s outside of chronological time as we know it, included all humanity in conquering sin for us and including us in a covenant of grace, and this was already sealed before time was and already sealed after time will be.
MIC DROP!

Twice the prophet Isaiah introduced us to the Lord who is “the first and the last,” and four more times in the book of Revelation, the Lord announces with great fanfare, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

This is how, with 100% certainty, a promise like this one can be proclaimed:

“Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with
great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.”

(Jude 1:24 NLT)

And this is why Paul with utmost confidence, in 2 Corinthians 1:20 can say:

“ALL of God’s promises are Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus!!”
