FROM GLORY TO GLORY: The Unfolding of What's Next - by Joel Pollard

There are moments in ministry—and in life—when you can sense the weight of God’s glory resting on a place, a people, a moment in time. This church, this family, this season has been one of those sacred moments for me and my family. Together, we’ve witnessed heaven draw near. We’ve seen hearts awakened, lives changed, and the tangible presence of God moving in ways words can’t quite capture. This is not a farewell—it’s a sending. The glory we’ve shared isn’t ending; it’s multiplying.

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 3:8–12 about the “transition of glory”—how one expression fades not because it failed, but because it fulfilled its purpose. That’s what this moment feels like. For the last 18 years at Blazing Fire and almost 6 years pastoring, I have seen and encountered how much this house has carried the glory of God, and I believe that same Spirit continues to move and is calling us into new expressions of His glory.

In recent years, I’ve sensed a stirring in my spirit—one that’s been there since I was a kid. It wasn’t born out of frustration but fulfillment. The same Spirit who called me to shepherd here began whispering, “It’s time to step into the next thing.” It’s not easy to release what’s beautiful, but obedience often looks like letting go of what was so we can say yes to what is. This decision to resign wasn’t one of retreat—it was one of release. Like Peter stepping out of the boat, I’m learning again what it means to walk on the water, trusting Jesus with every step.

And now, I step forward with hope. Hope fuels boldness—and this next season is not about leaving something behind but carrying it forward in a new way. In the months ahead, I’ll be expanding my businesses and finishing up my seminary degree, while looking at tentative plans to launch a ministry/church.

As Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 3:18, we are being transformed “from glory to glory.” God’s glory isn’t something we leave behind—it unfolds as we follow Him. The glory of this past season has prepared us for the greater glory to come. And the same Spirit who was faithful here is the same Spirit leading us there.

My prayer is that the Lord would continue to strengthen this covenant family with His presence, deepen the atmosphere of love and healing among you, and expand the reach of His Kingdom through Blazing Fire. May you always walk in unity, in joy, and in the boldness of His Spirit. I bless each of you with fresh vision and fresh fire for the days ahead, and I remain grateful to be forever part of this story.

Love & Blessings,
Pastor Joel Pollard
